Since 1976, the Missouri Association of Christian Schools (MACS) has served as the state organization for our Missouri Christian schools. Schools join on an annual basis by agreeing with the doctrinal statement, completing a membership form and paying a membership fee.

The Mid-America Association of Christian Schools (MAACS) is our sister organization that oversees the various events for Missouri and for many other surrounding states. Both of these organizations are headquartered in Independence, Missouri at Tri-City Ministries. Dr. Carl Herbster serves as the President of both MACS and MAACS. The AACS, of course, is our national parent organization which is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Membership in MACS also includes membership in the AACS. Dr. Keith Wiebe serves as the president of the AACS.

The eleven-state MAACS Region is entitled to select two individuals to represent the region on the Board of Directors of the AACS. These two individuals serve a four-year term and help set the policies and direction of the AACS. Currently, Gary Peltier (Executive Director of the Missouri Association of Christian Schools) and Arin Hess (President of the Nebraska Association of Christian Schools) serve on this board. The MAACS region includes the following states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Minnesota.
